Overview

What the job involves

Peeling paint, sagging gutters and a musty roof space usually trace back to a failing roofline. Old timber fascias and soffits hold damp and let birds and squirrels into the loft; replacing them in UPVC ends the repainting and seals the eaves.

We match the style to your home in white or a woodgrain finish, fit continuous soffit ventilation to keep the roof breathing, and set the guttering to the right fall so it never overflows down your walls.

What we cover

The fascias, gutters & soffits we take on

Everything we handle as part of your fascias, gutters & soffits, from first survey to final tidy-up.

Fascias & Soffits

Your fascias and soffits are key components most homeowners never think about until something goes wrong, yet these trim boards play a big part in how the roof breathes and functions.

The soffit is the board tucked under the overhang of the roof — without it you would be looking straight up at exposed rafters, which is neither attractive nor efficient.

Left that way, those rafters are exposed to the weather, and over time they rot and threaten the stability of the whole roof.

Guttering

Maintaining your gutters matters more than most people realise, and not every problem shows at ground level.

A cracked or rusted gutter drips from every gap, and where it runs close to the wall it leaves ugly stains all down the side of the house.

If the fasteners have gone the same way, a whole length of guttering can come down without warning — a real risk to anyone or anything underneath.

Fascias, Gutters & Soffits questions

  • What is the difference between fascias and soffits?
The fascia is the board along the roof edge that carries the guttering; the soffit is the underside board that closes off the eaves and holds the ventilation.
  • Do I need to replace fascias and guttering at the same time?
It usually makes sense. Once the scaffold is up, renewing the boards and gutters together costs less than two separate visits and gives a consistent finish.
  • Will new UPVC fascias stop my roof space getting damp?
Fitted with proper soffit ventilation, yes. Airflow through the eaves keeps the loft dry and helps prevent condensation and rot.
  • Can you just fix a leaking gutter?
Yes. We clear and re-fall gutters, replace cracked sections and renew failed joints. If a run is beyond repair we will say so.
  • What colours of UPVC can I have?
White is the most popular, but we can supply black, grey, rosewood and woodgrain finishes to match your windows and doors.
